Side-Effects on Liquid Injection for Cosmetic Purpose

Abstract

|
The investigations were carried out on 120 patients suffering from foreign body reaction by injection of foreign mateinals, who visited Yonsei University College of Medicine Severance Hospital and Seoul Union Clinic from 1968 to 1972. The sex increance showed that female was 87 cases whil male 37 patient. Ratio was F : M==2: 1, age distribution was twenties (16.6%)
The charactoristies of side effects were deformities of injection area, discoloration of Skin local pain and ulcer etc.
The deformities of injected area patients were 114 cases (95%)
The appearenced of side reaction since injetion of foreign body showed that between one and five years was 66 cases (55.0%). The site of foreign body injection was mostly on nose (67 cases 55.5%)
The pathological findings, and surgical result was similar to other investigators.
